Role Overview:
The Therapeutic Recreation Specialist plays a vital role in delivering group therapy sessions for patients, meticulously documenting each session in alignment with facility protocols. A background in creative or expressive arts is highly valued, as it enhances patient engagement and supports their healing journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate therapeutic activity programs aimed at improving patients' physical, mental, and social health.
- Prepare detailed reports on patient progress and, in collaboration with the treatment team, adjust programs to meet individual patient needs.

Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy or a closely related field is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of experience as a Recreational Therapist is strongly preferred. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, time management abilities, and experience in both group and individual therapy settings.
- Licensure/Certification: Candidates should maintain current licensure as a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist or Expressive Arts Therapist, along with CPR certification and a valid fingerprint clearance card.
