Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Consumer Insights Specialist plays a pivotal role in conducting diverse qualitative and quantitative research initiatives aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of our clients' consumers. This position is responsible for translating client goals into effective research strategies, crafting surveys, overseeing survey execution, and analyzing data to narrate the consumer story. Collaboration with internal stakeholders, particularly within Marketing and Sales, is essential to extract and disseminate valuable insights that drive organizational progress.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute ongoing and specialized research projects that yield actionable insights for key stakeholders. Collaborate with leadership to establish a research framework and timeline that clearly defines the scope of the research design. Create methodologies and develop research instruments (surveys, discussion guides, etc.) tailored to the research needs. Partner with internal teams or external vendors for survey distribution; oversee data collection and ensure data integrity. Utilize SPSS and Excel for data analysis; apply advanced statistical techniques to explore consumer attitudes, perceptions, and behaviors, focusing on the underlying reasons behind the findings. Integrate consumer transactional data or third-party data sources as necessary to enhance the analysis. Craft a narrative based on consumer insights.
  • Design, manage, and implement qualitative marketing research. Establish qualitative research objectives and devise effective methodologies to achieve these goals; leverage online or in-person qualitative tools to gather insights from projects centered on user testing, user experience, or responses to stimuli. Extract insights from open-ended feedback gathered through written and verbal formats; summarize findings concisely and present them in an easily digestible manner.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree (relevant fields): Required – A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Marketing, Marketing Research, Psychology, Sociology, Advertising, Statistics, or a related field.

Master's degree (relevant fields): Preferred - A master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Marketing Research (MMR), or a related field is preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

Certification from Burke Institute or RIVA as a Focus Group Moderator is advantageous but not mandatory.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1-3 years of relevant experience in market research within a business-to-consumer context, or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge and skills.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in SPSS, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Experience with Qualtrics or similar online survey platforms is required.

· Familiarity with the travel and hospitality sector, particularly the Orlando tourism market, is beneficial.

· Proven ability to design studies, implement methodologies, formulate questionnaires, analyze data, and report on both qualitative and quantitative findings.

· Experience in preparing online questionnaires for both desktop and mobile platforms.

· Working knowledge of Tableau is a plus but not essential.

· Demonstrated capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal; advanced presentation capabilities are required.
