About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Therapist to join our team at Helping Hands Family. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children with autism.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one direct care to children with autism in clinics, at home, or in the community.
  • Teach daily living and social skills using evidence-based treatments and positive reinforcement.
  • Implement therapy sessions designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Establish a relationship with the client to assess interests and motivators to effectively implement the behavior plan.
  • Accurately collect unbiased behavior data during sessions.
  • Collaborate and participate in clinical team meetings and ongoing training.
  • Communicate proactively with fellow team members, families, and Clinical Directors to support the client's needs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (associate or bachelor's degree in a human services area preferred).
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including prolonged periods of walking, running, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and stooping.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Strong communication skills for speaking with clients, families, and writing session notes.
  • Confident interpersonal skills for interactions with clients, families.
  • Complete company-provided RBT training and pass the RBT exam (within 90 days after hire).
  • Reliable transportation (valid driver's license preferred).
