HC&N Healthcare Solutions is seeking a dedicated and qualified professional to take on the role of Infection Control Specialist. This position is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention within our healthcare facilities.

As the Infection Control Specialist, you will work closely with the nursing leadership team.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:


  • Identify, investigate, monitor, and report on healthcare-associated infections. Collaborate with various teams to develop effective infection prevention strategies and provide constructive feedback.
  • Conduct educational sessions and training for healthcare personnel, ensuring they are well-informed about best practices in infection control.
  • Facilitate the orientation process for newly hired nursing staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Provide training on the use of new medical equipment and products.
  • Maintain records of in-service training that comply with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
  • Oversee nursing department Performance Improvement initiatives and present relevant data during quarterly meetings.


Ideal candidates will be proactive, with a strong commitment to developing and implementing effective infection prevention and control programs.


Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with demonstrated leadership abilities, creativity, time management skills, and experience in presentations.
