Overview

Hackensack Meridian Health is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and experiences. As a Food Service Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive high-quality meals that meet their dietary needs.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver patient meals within strict deadlines, maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction.
  • Operate the register, when assigned, according to established procedures, including correct close-out and deposit steps.
  • Clean and sanitize all equipment, including cooking equipment, workstations, refrigerators, and food warmers.
  • Perform routine sanitation assignments, such as sweeping, mopping, garbage removal, and completing the daily checklist.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of dishmachine temperatures, chemical logs, food temperatures, late tray logs, and pantry supply sheets.
  • Post menu boards and signage as assigned.
  • Prepare and serve food accurately, following menu and portion guides.
  • Stock stations with food, supplies, and other needed items.
  • Inspect china for cleanliness and chippings.
  • Deliver and pick up food trucks according to schedule and deliver Child Care meals as assigned.
  • Adhere to proper food handling methods, following local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Follow HACCP, Aide, and HIPAA guidelines, including proper hand washing, personal hygiene, food production, storage, labeling, and dating.

Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Some experience in food service.
