Role Summary:

The Regional HR Generalist will oversee the execution of HR strategies designed to boost employee engagement and improve the overall employee experience. This position will be instrumental in managing regional HR functions, including employee relations, onboarding processes, leadership development, and compliance with HR regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment to separation across various retail sectors, focusing on talent management, compensation, performance evaluations, training, and compliance.
  • Establish strong partnerships with management teams to implement best-in-class HR practices that support company objectives.
  • Provide coaching to retail staff, emphasizing development opportunities, effective team leadership, and maintaining high service standards.
  • Deliver timely HR support, offering insights on best practices and guidance regarding HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Manage the Performance Improvement Process, ensuring effective coaching, proper documentation, and timely follow-ups.
  • Assist with employee escalations, providing mediation and advice while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Offer strategic recommendations for employee development, succession planning, and retention of high-potential talent.
  • Keep regional management informed about employee engagement levels and collaborate with them to retain valued team members.
  • Act as an advocate for employees, promoting a positive work environment and work-life balance.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the field through regular visits and engagement with retail personnel.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, with a focus on employee relations and organizational development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • HR certification is preferred.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships and influence across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Solid understanding of HR regulations and laws, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills and professionalism in handling complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present, train, and negotiate effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
