Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at KMC Systems. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities to drive profitable growth for our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to generate profitable growth for KMC Systems
  • Manage complex RFQs in a Product Development and Manufacturing environment
  • Interact effectively with cross-functional teams to pursue business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key customer personnel
  • Provide recommendations and pertinent information to meet customer requirements
  • Understand competitor's activities and report information pertinent to our strategy
  • Develop and implement Marketing Plans for assigned areas
  • Plan, review, and achieve sales plans in assigned territories or customer categories
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings as needed
  • Prepare presentations and white papers to support marketing and sales collateral needs
  • Participate in the customer proposal writing and presentation process
  • Actively participate in the budget cycle
  • Create awareness of KMC's capabilities with key customer functional management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Engineering with 5 or more years of related experience in sales, business development, key account management
  • Domain experience in Medical Devices, Analytical Instrumentation, Life Science Instrumentation, In Vitro Diagnostics, Clinical Chemistry, Molecular Diagnostics
  • R&D design and manufacturing experience of above products preferred
  • Experience or strong knowledge of contract manufacturing experience
  • Good oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Professional demeanor and appreciation for business meeting etiquette
  • Technical aptitude to promote KMC Systems' design and manufacturing capabilities of complex medical systems
  • Proven track record of closing deals in complex environments
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry-relevant contacts, especially in the IVD market
  • Experience at a Contract Manufacturing/Engineering Services company
  • Familiarity with clinical diagnostic applications
  • Working knowledge of FDA & ISO regulated environments, preferably at the medical device or instrument development
  • Familiarity with quality systems, such as ISO13485
  • Familiarity with industry regulatory standards RoHS, REACH, WEEE, CE, EU Machine Directive, etc.
