Senior Compensation Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW
Under general oversight, this role contributes to the compensation framework of the Houston Independent School District. The individual will design and manage competitive salary structures and perform comprehensive job assessments and evaluations. This position ensures the fair and consistent application of employee remuneration while adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement competitive salary ranges and compensation strategies.
- Conduct job analysis and evaluations to ensure equitable pay practices.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including talent management professionals and district leadership, on compensation policies and practices.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on compensation-related initiatives, policies, and procedures.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor's Degree is required. Candidates with a distinctive combination of education and relevant experience may also be considered.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
3 to 5 years of relevant experience is preferred. Unique combinations of education and experience may be taken into account.
