Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our team at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of our Windows Active Directory environment, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • User Account Administration: Manage user accounts, group policies, directory permissions, and Active Directory domain/OU administration.
  • System Administration: Perform login script development and administration, manage outbound-facing website registration and redirects, and maintain IP management of our DHCP and DNS systems.
  • Network Administration: Manage network printers, queues, DNS updates, account administration, and web server redirects.
  • Certificate Management: Manage RSAs SecurID user accounts, hard and soft token activation and distribution, and internal and external certificates for our systems.
  • Remote Access: Manage remote user access accounts and permissions within our internal network.
  • Change Management: Participate in change management processes and administer multiple systems.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Monitor trouble ticket system administration reports on a daily basis to ensure service level agreement (SLA) compliance and produce, analyze, and summarize reports as required.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent knowledge.
  • Experience: Four years of related professional experience in an information technology environment, including Microsoft Windows and Networking. Experience with UNIX and Linux user administration preferred.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified Engineer (MCSE) preferred.
Work Environment:

We offer a hybrid office/telecommute environment, with an expected onsite percentage of 40%, and occasional travel between National Academies facilities and to off-site meeting/sponsor locations.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $88,450 - $121,620, and a comprehensive benefits program.
