Head of North American Purchasing

Your Role:
As the Head of Purchasing, you will be a seasoned, commercially astute, and product-oriented leader dedicated to elevating our expanding Lifestyle division. You will collaborate with management, retail locations, and cross-functional teams (including digital, planning, design, global merchandising, and visual merchandising) to pinpoint opportunities, formulate, and implement strategies that create robust assortments aimed at meeting and exceeding the financial targets of the division. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing all women's categories and managing the product lifecycle within our retail spaces. As the Head of Purchasing, you will possess exceptional communication, analytical, and innovative problem-solving abilities, along with the capacity to excel in an entrepreneurial setting.
Your Responsibilities:
- Formulate purchasing and merchandising strategies for all women's categories that align with the financial objectives of the division and the company.
- Oversee the buying process from inception to execution, including collaboration in product development.
- Conduct business analysis to monitor sales, identify key trends, and optimize assortment opportunities to ensure ongoing growth and profitability of the Lifestyle division.
- Advise on timely markdowns/promotions and reorders for top-selling items, providing insights based on analysis to strategically enhance business performance.
- Collaborate closely with planning and allocations to implement merchandising strategies tailored to individual store locations, ensuring optimal assortments.
- Partner with the planning team to devise and execute seasonal plans, merchandising, and promotional strategies across all classifications.
- Build and leverage cross-functional relationships to create business opportunities, particularly with Digital, Visual Merchandising, Global Merchandising, and Design teams.
- Oversee the management of assortment sheets, pricing/conversion files, markdowns, and on-order items.
- Ensure the execution and upkeep of merchandising guidelines and product knowledge resources for retail locations.
- Drive the growth and development of your direct reports.
- 8+ years of experience in Retail Buying or Merchandising.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Extensive experience in product development.
- Experience across all women's categories (Accessories, Footwear, Apparel).
- Ability to present product strategies to senior leadership with clear verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in computer skills and advanced Excel capabilities.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

Compensation Range:
$117,000.00-$195,000.00
