The Special Assistant will report directly to the Chief of Operations for Schools and work closely with the Cross-Regional Operations Teams, regional School Support Teams, Regional Superintendents of Operations, and Uncommon Schools' Home Office teams and staff.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into school management and public charter school operations at the network-wide level. The Special Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the Chief of Operations' time is maximized and aligned with the organization's priorities, managing stakeholders, and project managing organization-wide initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the Chief of Operations' calendar, arranging meetings, and coordinating travel
  • Providing administrative support, including credit card reconciliation and reimbursement processing
  • Improving current operations and processes within the Chief of Operations' office
  • Managing stakeholders and project executing
  • Supporting the development of a joyful staff culture

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of full-time experience
  • Proficiency in Outlook and basic familiarity with Microsoft products
