Main Responsibilities

The Chief Instructor will be responsible for auditing the performance of Instructors, providing coaching and counseling as needed, and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement. They will also be responsible for creating and tracking training content, developing new training programs, and assigning Instructors to meet special or unscheduled requirements.

Key Requirements
  • Five years of experience working in an office environment with diverse administrative duties.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Commercial Drivers' License with passenger and airbrake endorsements.
  • Six years of transit operations experience.
  • Experience using Learning Management System and two years' experience creating training programs using e-learning course authoring tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Four years of experience in design, development, and presentation of operational training programs.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Excellent coaching, supervision, communication, and writing skills.
  • Ability to prepare lesson plans, PowerPoint presentations, and training materials, teach in both classroom and field environments, and operate all audio-visual equipment unassisted.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience developing electronic learning (eLearning) desired. Knowledge of Microsoft Access is a plus.
