Civil Engineer IV

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer IV to join our Water Business Line in Coral Gables, Florida or Fort Lauderdale, Florida office.
The successful candidate will work with Project Managers and other technical disciplines on all project phases to deliver a variety of water, wastewater, stormwater, and resiliency projects.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects locally and worldwide, and to contribute to the delivery of high-quality engineering services.
Key Responsibilities- Planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services for municipal water/wastewater, stormwater, and resiliency projects.
- Senior technical resource, serving as technical advisor for the team.
- Communicates project tasks between offices, requiring high-level coordination and communication skills.
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
- Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by others.
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Prepares technical specification sections.
- Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
- Oversees construction phase engineering services.
- Coordinates with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public to accomplish assigned objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Experience as Professional Engineer in municipal water/wastewater and stormwater infrastructure engineering design projects.
- Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida.
- Valid Driver's License and must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
- Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Experience mentoring or supervising other engineering professionals.
- Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Positive attitude, good aptitude, and strong initiative.
- Experience in construction phase services.
- Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to successfully work with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated proven track record of leading technical engineering and successfully managing water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
