About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer IV to join our Water Business Line in Coral Gables, Florida or Fort Lauderdale, Florida office. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Project Managers and technical disciplines to deliver a variety of water, wastewater, stormwater, and resiliency projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, permit, and construct municipal water/wastewater, stormwater, and resiliency projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Communicate project tasks and progress to stakeholders, requiring strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Develop and implement study and design procedures to ensure high-quality, cost-effective work.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables and provide input on engineering budget and schedule.
  • Oversee construction phase engineering services and coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and the public.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Experience as a Professional Engineer in municipal water/wastewater and stormwater infrastructure engineering design projects.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising other engineering professionals.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Positive attitude, good aptitude, and strong initiative.
  • Experience in construction phase services.
  • Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to successfully work with diverse teams.
