Clinical Specialist Pharmacist

As a Clinical Specialist Pharmacist at Emory Healthcare, you will leverage your advanced knowledge and skills to shape the future of healthcare. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement drug therapy regimens, ensuring safety, efficacy, and cost-efficiency.
- Conduct daily in-depth patient profile reviews to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend interventions.
- Consistently evaluate, intervene, and document adverse drug reactions, medication variances, and clinical interventions.
- Provide drug information and consultation services, utilizing in-depth knowledge of research designs, methodologies, and biostatistics.
- Lead and develop the skills of pharmacy students, technicians, and pharmacists, promoting a culture of excellence and adherence to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Proactively review trends, recommend patient safety solutions, and process orders accurately and efficiently.
Requirements:
- PharmD degree from an accredited institution.
- ASHP-Accredited Postgraduate Year 1 and 2 Residency or Fellowship, or equivalent experience in the specialty area.
- Active Georgia Pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure with registration within 60 days of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 1 year for positions with Code Blue coverage responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant Pharmacy Specialty Board certification.
