About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Team Lead to join our team at Soma. As a Sales Team Lead, you will play a key role in promoting a customer-focused sales culture and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive for Results
    • Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable for achieving sales and performance standards.
    • Oversee operational activities such as opening and closing duties, and merchandise flow processes.
    • Supervise sales associates and ensure they are meeting sales and productivity goals.
    • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, and present and display merchandise accordingly.
    • Develop a high-performance culture and motivate sales team to meet sales and productivity goals.
  • Build High Performing Teams
    • Motivate and inspire team members to promote a shared vision and model core values.
    • Promote an inclusive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and management to lead positive change.
    • Seek personal developmental opportunities and solicit feedback to build leadership skills.
  • Customer Experience
    • Model and promote exceptional customer service standards, offering a cohesive omni-channel experience.
    • Communicate product knowledge to customers and recommend merchandise selections.
    • Build and maintain a solid customer following through clienteling and wardrobing.
    • Ensure prompt resolution of customer concerns and maintain a fast and efficient register experience.
  • Talent
    • Support and implement training programs, and provide follow-up and coaching as needed.
    • Assist in the development of store associates, and provide feedback to management for performance appraisals and evaluations.
    • Drive associate and team engagement by recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
    Requirements
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 1+ year retail or sales management experience preferred
    • Excellent communication, verbal and written skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Able to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company
    • Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
