Key Responsibilities:
  • Support a positive and collaborative culture within the kitchen team.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with both guests and colleagues.
  • Select fresh ingredients to create high-quality dishes.
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, prepared to work with a positive attitude.
  • Assist in food preparation activities and coordinate with sushi chefs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen operations.
  • Communicate effectively with the sushi chef regarding daily tasks and special event preparations.
  • Complete daily checklists and ensure all products are prepared to specification.
Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED is required. Culinary training from an accredited culinary institute is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of sushi experience or demonstrated knife skills, along with two to three years of kitchen experience is required.

Skills and Requirements:
  • Proficient knife skills are essential.
  • Experience in a fine dining environment is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.
Work Environment:

The work environment can be dynamic and fast-paced, requiring prolonged periods of standing and physical activity. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company grooming standards.
