About the Role:
Sown To Grow is seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Growth Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our growth team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a multi-channel marketing strategy to build an effective upper-funnel pipeline of marketing-qualified leads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a multi-channel marketing strategy to build an effective upper-funnel pipeline of marketing-qualified leads.
- Track and attribute performance to optimize lead generation efforts.
- Maintain an updated lead pool by understanding audience personas, sourcing relevant contact information, and managing/improving our CRM system effectively.
- Create and maintain a diverse content library, including written, visual, and video formats, to support marketing campaigns and the sales process.
- Organize and support events while engaging with our district and school partners.
- Share our story through various formats such as case studies, webinars, conferences, and hosted events.
- Evolve and communicate Sown To Grow's brand story by testing and refining messaging for key school and district audiences across email, social media, and other digital channels.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new marketing strategies (including paid, owned, and unconventional methods).
- Take ownership of key execution tasks for these strategies.
Requirements:
- Marketing Knowledge: Understanding and eagerness to deepen knowledge of marketing channels across Digital (e.g., website, search, social media) Traditional (e.g., email, direct mail, events) Innovative (e.g. partnerships, owned initiatives)
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with digital tools and platforms. Can learn quickly and own projects using: Google/Microsoft Suite (e.g. presentation development, spreadsheets, data analysis) CRM systems Email marketing tools
- Creative Skills: Strong ability to translate concepts into polished, engaging written, visual, or video content that clearly communicates our story.
- Execution & Adaptability: Execution-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Comfortable with quick iteration and feedback cycles to enhance project outcomes.
- Motivation & Growth: Desire to make meaningful contributions, with a growth-focused mindset that aligns with team and organizational goals.
- Collaboration Skills: Closely partner with leaders in sales, account management, and training to strategize on content, execution, and new ideas to engage and inspire target audiences.
- Education System Familiarity: Preferred experience or knowledge of the K-12 education system through work, study, or volunteer activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related area of study
- 3+ years of prior experiences on a marketing or growth-contributing team
