Our 5 North medical unit is a 38-bed facility that provides comprehensive care to a diverse range of patients, including those with medical, surgical, and chronic conditions. Our team specializes in the care of patients with diabetes and renal failure, utilizing advanced treatments such as insulin drips and Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis. We also offer telemetry and oximetry services to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Scope of WorkAs a Registered Nurse on our team, you will utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality patient care, incorporating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients. You will work under the direction of the Nurse Leader, adhering to Corewell Health policies and procedures, and collaborate with patients and families to develop individualized care plans. Your expertise will be valued as you educate patients and families, document education and learning, and contribute to a culture of excellence in patient care.

- Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required within 5 years.
- Graduates from non-accredited nursing schools must have at least one year of acute care experience or two years of experience in a licensed healthcare role, and must have passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) licensure is required.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
