Physical Education Instructor

Foothill De Anza Community College District is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of PT Athletic Trainer. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching athletic training courses and serving as a trainer for intercollegiate and pre-season team sports.
Responsibilities- Teach athletic training courses and develop curriculum to meet the needs of students.
- Serve as a trainer for intercollegiate and pre-season team sports, providing medical care and support to student-athletes.
- Evaluate and assess student work, providing feedback and guidance to ensure student success.
- Participate in the assessment of own performance, including administrative and student evaluations.
- Engage in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in athletic training and education.
- Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
- Current certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching athletic training courses and working with student-athletes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
The successful applicant will work in an indoor, office environment with occasional travel to athletic events and training sessions. The position requires regular standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, as well as bending, kneeling, and reaching overhead.
