We are in search of a Senior Engineering Manager to join the DocuSign CLM Engineering team, contributing to the scaling and development of next-generation CLM experiences.

As a technological visionary, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating a high-caliber software organization responsible for the creation and maintenance of highly scalable, reliable, and available systems.

This role is a managerial position reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering.
Responsibilities
  • Own and execute the roadmap for Contract Party Management.
  • Develop services and user experiences that can scale effectively.
  • Enhance DocuSign CLM and IAM products to facilitate growth while maintaining SLA targets.
  • Build and nurture a high-performing and accountable engineering team.
  • Identify and cultivate exceptional talent.
  • Establish a learning organization that stays abreast of cutting-edge developments.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor for your team.
  • Deliver products that exceed customer expectations while managing code health through continuous refactoring and addressing technical debt.
  • Exhibit expertise in system design, agile continuous delivery, and operational excellence, championing the culture, processes, and tools necessary for a seamless, high-quality development environment.
  • Engage deeply with technology, staying updated on the latest tools, technologies, and strategies, and assist in evaluating, prototyping, and integrating them into our team.
  • Provide guidance and leadership in software best practices, automated testing strategies, and work towards minimizing the cost of change for our software products and services.
  • Prioritize exceptional user experiences and collaborate with product management, engineering, customer support, operations, and other business units.

What You Bring
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in developing high-performing, secure applications, embedding security within product DNA.
  • 8+ years of combined software development and management experience across various languages and frameworks or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of hands-on software development or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading full-stack teams.
  • Proven track record of managing geographically dispersed teams.
  • Experience working with at least three programming languages or paradigms, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with large, complex data ecosystems and addressing data quality and lifecycle challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a change agent.
  • Knowledge and experience in high-scale, highly available systems.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft technology stack (.NET, C#, SQL Server, etc.).
  • Experience in SaaS or Cloud environments.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement.

Job Designation
Hybrid:
Employees split their time between in-office and remote work, with access to an office location required.

Wage Transparency

Based on applicable legislation, the following pay ranges apply in various locations:

California: $171,000 - $277,025.00 base salary
Illinois and Colorado: $164,000 - $232,750.00 base salary
Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $164,000 - $242,225.00 base salary
Washington DC: $171,000 - $242,225.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for bonuses, equity, and benefits.
