Job Description:
The ideal candidate will serve as a project engineering leader, providing support for the Space & Intelligence product sectors in various development initiatives and internal research and development projects.
This role entails effectively guiding a project team to fulfill client expectations while adhering to established budgetary and scheduling commitments in a dynamic business environment.
The candidate will be responsible for developing, supervising, and coordinating the financial, scheduling, and technical elements of ongoing engineering initiatives, in accordance with the program guidelines established by management and clients.
Regularly reviews the progress of engineering initiatives and financial plans, manages timelines, and generates status updates.Evaluates engineering challenges and formulates solutions to achieve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives.
Identifies, monitors, mitigates, manages, and resolves program-level risks.
Facilitates coordination between resource managers and ensures that all necessary evaluations and approvals are obtained.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrated technical and leadership expertise.
Proficient in systems engineering with a solid background in RF design or digital communications, RF and mixed-signal circuit theory, phase-locked loops, test equipment proficiency, design and development process management, proposals, and marketing presentations.
Familiarity with firmware development processes (VHDL) is advantageous.Experience in overseeing electronics design projects, particularly in high-reliability communication equipment.
Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.
Required Qualifications:
Eligibility to obtain a Security Clearance.
Familiarity with best practices in project engineering and program execution.
A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in managing complex, multi-disciplinary programs encompassing mechanical, electrical, systems, and firmware aspects, particularly in the context of space systems.
Capability to develop and adapt project execution strategies that meet technical, financial, and scheduling objectives.
Aptitude for presenting to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Experience in leading government contract development initiatives.
Proven experience in leading a diverse team of engineers.
Involvement in program pursuit and proposal efforts.
Possession of a Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance.
