This role involves assisting in the repair and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems to meet customer requirements efficiently and effectively.
- Deliver exceptional service by repairing and overhauling equipment such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and control devices safely and promptly.
- Conduct general repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems, including air conditioning units, condensers, ice machines, and gas furnaces in a timely manner.
- Perform preventative maintenance by diagnosing equipment issues to ensure optimal performance for our clients.
- Test malfunctioning systems using both electrical and mechanical skills.
- Maintain accurate records of work history for both corporate and personal documentation.
- Support departmental operations by processing job tickets and work orders efficiently.
- Assist with the transportation and installation of equipment as needed.
- Engage in minor construction and remodeling tasks, including the initiation of new installations.
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or GED.
- EPA certification is required.
- Certification from an accredited vocational or trade school is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial refrigeration is essential.
- Experience with refrigeration systems in convenience stores or supermarkets is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with single and rack systems, as well as experience with display cases and walk-in coolers, is beneficial.
- Must possess a clean driving record and the ability to work independently.
- Availability for emergency on-call duty is a fundamental requirement.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. unassisted and able to sit or stand for extended periods.
