Job Title: HVAC/R Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified HVAC/R instructor to join our team at TCAT-Hartsville. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching related practical and theoretical aspects of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration instruction.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the coordination and evaluation of all phases of the College's HVAC/R program.
  • Provide individualized classroom and lab instruction to students to prepare them to become HVAC/R technicians.
  • Maintain good public relations with business and industry, maintain an active advisory committee, and cooperate with outside agencies.
  • Remain current in the HVAC/R profession and establish effective interpersonal working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the general public.

Requirements:

  • High School or GED.
  • Associate Degree and teaching experience preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in residential and/or commercial HVAC/R field.
  • Evidence of proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Experience.
  • EPA Universal Certification.

Working Conditions:

The HVAC/R instructor will work at the TCAT Hartsville - Wilson County Campus and will be required to physically lift, stoop, stand, and walk to demonstrate and perform all work-based projects required.
