Role Impact:
Your contributions will play a crucial role in the future of space exploration, requiring a strong commitment to safety and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on the development of lidar sensor hardware requirements, ensuring alignment with system-level specifications and verification methods.
- Assist in designing the lidar navigation architecture and hardware configuration, conducting performance evaluations.
- Engage in procurement processes, vendor coordination, and the certification of component hardware.
- Lead and participate in various testing and analysis activities, including flight tests and thermal vacuum tests, to validate system specifications.
- Support hardware-in-the-loop testing and on-vehicle functional testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in spacecraft navigation systems or avionics.
- Familiarity with lidar-based altimetry and velocimetry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace engineering with over 10 years of experience.
- Knowledge of terrain relative navigation and hazard detection systems.
