Job Description

Warren Village Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Supportive Services Navigator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing case management, resource navigation, and coaching services to families residing in our Warren Village at Alameda campus.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be fluent in both English and Spanish. You will work closely with our residents to assess their needs, develop personalized plans, and connect them with community resources to achieve economic and personal self-sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach, assessments, and individualized support to potential residents during the pre-lease-up and lease-up phases.
  • Provide case management, Mobility Mentoring coaching, and resource referral to residents as needed.
  • Utilize trauma-sensitive coaching, a 2-generation orientation, and motivational interviewing methodologies in working with residents.
  • Link residents with existing community resources and systems that provide them with support, services, and opportunities to assist them moving towards economic and personal self-sufficiency.
  • Facilitate connections for residents to additional onsite programming.
  • Maintain a strong sense of emotional intelligence, reliability, and flexibility to navigate complex issues at any given time without judgment.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish languages, proficiently communicating verbally and in writing.
  • Associates degree (AA) from two-year college or technical school in Social Work, Human Services, or Education or a combination of education and work experience, with 2 years of work experience in a one or more of these fields for every year of education.
  • Experience in case management and/or navigation services, direct homeless services or working with low-income families.
  • Ability to work regular evenings and weekend hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lived experience in homelessness or housing instability, including an alumni of Warren Village.
  • Bachelors (BA) degree or Masters (MA) degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, or related field.
  • Experience in Permanent Supportive Housing, Housing First, and Harm Reduction.
  • Experience working with culturally diverse people.

Work Environment:

The working environment is typically that of an office using a personal computer, adding machine, and other equipment.

Physical Demands:

Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 25 lbs. Primarily a stationary position.

Compensation:

$54,610 - $66,460 Yearly Salary
