Job Summary:

Nystrom & Associates, Ltd. is a leading provider of mental health services, seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Administrative Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient care and support, interacting with patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism.
  • Assess patient vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate patient care by scheduling appointments, collaborating with providers, and managing patient paperwork and office supplies.
  • Handle patient concerns and crises with empathy and patience, and collaborate with site leadership to resolve issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless care coordination and scheduling.
  • Participate in front office tasks, including checking in patients, collecting payments, and performing administrative duties.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and trainings to stay up-to-date on best practices and company policies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working in healthcare facilities and an interest in behavioral health preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment and manage stress while navigating difficult situations.
  • Proficiency in technology and computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
