Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of International Strategic Partnerships to join our team. This is a three-year appointment with the possibility of reappointment based on continued funding and satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the direction of UC International Strategic Partnerships, cultivating and maintaining relationships with external and internal partners to develop and strengthen strategic collaborations.
  • Manage the UC International Strategic Partner grant programs, including sending call for proposals to UC faculty and international partner faculty, managing the proposal review process, organizing and tracking incoming and outgoing international travel, and managing grant funds.
  • Assist the Director with organization and facilitation of seven regional strategy groups (Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, China, Indian Subcontinent, Middle East/North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa).
  • Manage special programs for students/faculty/staff with our Strategic Partners.
  • Manage the MoveON agreement database and assist director with agreement and contract preparation.
  • Assist the Director with hosting international delegations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Three (3) years of experience working in international education or 7 years of experience working in a project/program management role.

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with faculty, students, administrators, and others in a highly professional manner.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and ability to work independently in the completion of job duties.
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience living, working, or studying abroad.
  • Strong computer skills to navigate required university and software systems and standard suite of office software, primarily MS Office with strong navigation of MS Excel.
  • UC experience and knowledge of UC Colleges, departments, and programs.
  • Experience and knowledge of best practices in international higher education.
