Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Bowlero Corporation. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of cooks and other kitchen staff, ensuring the highest quality of food and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
  • Assist the Chef in planning and executing all banquet functions, including supervision of food preparation and service, and clean-up.
  • Estimate food consumption and assist with making purchases from the company-specified food program.
  • Partner with the Chef or General Manager to address and resolve disciplinary issues as needed.
  • Foster a team-oriented work environment and ensure that all kitchen staff are working together effectively.
  • Supervise cooks and oversee the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of food in the absence of the Chef.
  • Assist in cooking and preparing food as needed, and maintain kitchen and storage facilities in a sanitary condition.
  • Ensure that product quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards.
  • Assist the Chef with managing kitchen equipment maintenance and ensuring compliance with local Department of Health regulations.
  • Report critical issues to the General Manager and ensure that a clean and safe environment is maintained at all times.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of kitchen supervisory experience in a high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue.
  • Experience preparing catered events and presenting foods for special events is desirable.
  • Current ServSafe certification is required.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays, as well as extended workdays to support business needs.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced bowling center environment, where they will be required to walk, bend, and stand for periods of time, and may be asked to occasionally lift objects with some assistance.
