As one of the premier urological facilities in the Northwest, Oregon Urology Institute offers patients access to top-tier medical professionals across various urological specialties, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies including robotic surgery, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy.

We are seeking an individual with outstanding interpersonal skills to fulfill the role of Medical Front Office Receptionist. This position involves welcoming patients and managing appointment scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and visitors warmly.
  • Assist patients with check-in procedures for their appointments.
  • Ensure accuracy by verifying and updating information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Process payments from patients and provide receipts.
  • Maintain daily cash reconciliation.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and nursing personnel.
  • Coordinate, book, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently.
  • Schedule laboratory tests and outpatient procedures, addressing patient inquiries regarding their appointments and tests.
  • Undertake additional tasks and special projects as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • Exceptional patient service skills and capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in answering phone calls in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Able to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and the ability to learn quickly are important.
  • Experience with a windows-based EMR/PM system.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare insurance processes.
