Position Overview

PeaceHealth at RiverBend is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to lead our outpatient Wound and Ostomy clinic, addressing the needs of our community and underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments, provide therapy, and offer education to patients and their families.
Create a nurturing, compassionate environment for all patients.
Manage a caseload of 12+ patients daily.
Collaborate closely with Infectious Disease specialists and Surgeons on-site.

Compensation: Guaranteed hourly rate based on the candidate's years of experience.

  • Perform wound debridement, cleaning, and bandaging.
  • Administer Wound VAC therapy.
  • Implement hyperbaric wound therapy.
  • Prevent and treat pressure ulcers.
  • Monitor pressure ulcer prevalence and incidents.
  • Manage specialty support surfaces.
  • Provide education related to Wound and Ostomy care.
  • Address the necessity for antibiotics and surgical interventions.
  • Serve as a resource for physicians, staff, and the community, developing therapy plans tailored to patients' needs, strengths, limitations, and goals, including age-specific treatments for a range of patients from basic wounds to critically ill individuals.
  • Work within a supportive team, including front desk office support, Clinic Manager, Administration, 3 Nurse Practitioners, 1 experienced WOC Nurse, 2 Medical Assistants, and 5 fully equipped exam/treatment rooms.
  • CWOCN certification is preferred but not mandatory.
