Key Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Business Office Director, you will coordinate and execute business office operations in alignment with established accounting standards. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, financial assessments for admissions, managing accounts receivable and payable, overseeing payroll, and handling resident trust accounts.
1. Oversee and process Medicaid Pending applications.
2. Prepare and submit necessary write-off requests in accordance with collection policies.
3. Manage the preparation of daily financial deposits.
4. Supervise all facets of the Accounts Payable process.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
1. A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory; an Associate's Degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
2. Must maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations and procedures affecting third-party coverage criteria and billing practices for Medicaid, Medicare, Insurances, and VA Contract residents. Familiarity with basic accounting practices and computerized office systems is essential, with a preference for Microsoft Office experience.
3. Ability to read, write, and follow both oral and written instructions at a level necessary to perform required tasks.
4. Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required to effectively perform the necessary duties.
