Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of preventive maintenance procedures and perform or provide oversight of major equipment repairs as needed.
  • Maintain Building Management Systems and provide oversight and coordination of all planned and unplanned refrigeration and HVAC outages.
  • Provide oversight of water quality and recommend best methods for treatment.
  • Participate in job walks and attend refrigeration and HVAC design meetings.
  • Maintain HVAC inventory and recommend refrigeration and HVAC capital acquisitions.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of a wide variety of air conditioning and cooling systems.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and safety regulations.
  • Ability to perform at the journeyman level and knowledge of industrial or commercial refrigeration, air conditioning and control systems, installation, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Ability to instruct others in the basics of air conditioning and refrigeration principles. Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
