Building Maintenance Specialist

ABM Industries is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment
- Optimize the repair and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems
- Provide hands-on training and collaboration to other engineering team members
- Foster a work environment that promotes energy conservation and continuous improvement of engineering functions
- Record all pertinent data in building logbooks and make all appropriate daily entries
- Conduct utility and equipment tests
- Record pertinent data on all equipment in accordance with federal, state, and local codes and requirements
- Process administrative paperwork in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
- Actively function as a team member
- Demonstrate commitment to quality of service
- Comply with ABM Industries and facilities policies and procedures
- Comply and participate with ABM Industries safety program
- Comply and participate in facility-specific safety program
- Maintain regular attendance in the workplace
- Provide highest quality of service to tenants, staff, and visitors at the facility
- Participate in regular required communication with Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, management, tenants, and other staff
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in the position of mobile building engineer
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- As required, highest-level relevant state/local license for Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC, plus universal level refrigerant recovery license
- Computer skills and building automation systems experience required
- Certification meeting OSHA ACM awareness training requirements as required
- Working knowledge of energy conservation required, formal training preferred
- Background Check with Motor Vehicle Report
