Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of journeyman-level maintenance duties, including inspections, servicing, repair, and overhaul of equipment, facilities, and hospital vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of equipment and facilities
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, including HVAC and refrigeration
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
  • Operate and maintain hospital vehicles, including ambulances and service vehicles
  • Perform security surveillance of hospital facilities
Requirements
  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree or diploma
  • High school diploma or equivalent education/experience
  • Trade school graduate preferred, such as carpentry, electrical, or refrigeration/air conditioning
  • Demonstrated competence as a Maintenance Technician in a hospital setting or similar setting
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial electricity, boiler operations, mechanical systems, and air conditioning and refrigeration
Preferred Experience

Demonstrates competence as a Maintenance Technician in a hospital setting or similar setting.
