Building Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary: ABM Industries is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to support the daily operations of all building systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair buildings, utilities, grounds, and equipment.
- Optimize the repair and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and system problems to ensure continuous operations.
- Provide hands-on training and collaboration to other engineering team members.
- Foster a work environment that promotes energy conservation and continuous improvement of engineering functions.
- Record all pertinent data in building logbooks and make daily entries.
- Conduct utility and equipment tests.
- Record pertinent data on all equipment in accordance with federal, state, and local codes and requirements.
- Process administrative paperwork in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Act as a team member and demonstrate commitment to quality of service.
- Comply with ABM Industries and facilities policies and procedures.
- Comply with and participate in safety programs.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a mobile building engineer.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Relevant state/local license for Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC, plus universal level refrigerant recovery license.
- Computer skills and building automation systems experience required.
- Certification meeting OSHA ACM awareness training requirements as required.
- Working knowledge of energy conservation required, formal training preferred.
- Background Check with Motor Vehicle Report.
