Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

The main role of this position is to advocate for and sell service agreements related to commercial building systems, including fire alarm, suppression, sprinkler, security, sound, communication, and inspection services. Identify client needs and formulate sales strategies to fulfill those needs. Achieve sales targets to meet established objectives. Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients. Keep an active proposal backlog to support sales goals. Conduct site assessments to aid in the preparation of estimates.

How You Will Achieve This

  • Initiate contact with potential clients and assess their suitability for service contracts through scheduled sales meetings, follow-ups on leads, and implementing marketing strategies.
  • Identify client requirements and create a tailored sales approach to enhance their understanding of the company's service offerings.
  • Achieve sales targets to fulfill sales plan objectives.
  • Maintain an active proposal backlog that aligns with the sales strategy.
  • Perform site evaluations to assist in generating accurate estimates.
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of all sales activities.
  • Submit necessary sales reports, expense accounts, competitive insights, and correspondence promptly and accurately.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with clients to ensure Johnson Controls meets their needs, fostering long-term loyalty.
  • Collaborate with the service department to generate leads for service upgrades or equipment enhancements.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 1 to 3 years of sales experience in a relevant field with a demonstrable record of success.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to persuade and close sales effectively.
  • Capability to manage diverse situations encountered during the sales process.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to persuade and close sales while managing various sales process challenges.

Preferred:

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field is preferred.
