Key Responsibilities

As a Trade Promotion Strategy Consultant at Clarkston, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting prominent consumer goods firms in designing and executing enhancements in business processes or technology to achieve improvements across the entire Trade Promotion Management (TPM) lifecycle, including Annual Planning, Budgeting, Customer Engagement, Retail Execution, Settlements, Measurement & Reporting, and Category Optimization.
  • Utilizing your expertise with various trade systems (e.g., Exceedra, Demantra, AFS, CAS, etc.) to support all phases of a TPM implementation.
  • Translating business workflows into functional specifications, which may involve recommendations on utilizing existing technologies and evaluating software vendors based on organizational requirements.
  • Sharing best practices, industry insights, and personal knowledge to educate both clients and fellow consultants in formal and informal settings.
  • Assisting in the development and management of project plans and timelines, defining project deliverables, identifying and tracking issues and their resolutions, and helping to manage project scope and requirements.
  • Establishing trusted client relationships that extend beyond individual projects.
  • Conducting knowledge transfer and training sessions for end-users, including sharing best practices.

Qualifications

What We Seek:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the TPM domain.
  • A comprehensive understanding of Trade processes, including deductions, settlements, trade check requests, trade accruals, and trade finance (interfaces, reporting, etc.).
  • Proven experience as a TPM consultant within a recognized professional services organization.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, as our Senior Consultants engage in all aspects of the trade process and related initiatives.
  • Direct experience with TPM systems such as Exceedra, Demantra, AFS, CAS, etc.
  • A four-year degree from an accredited institution.

Travel Expectations
Travel is a vital component of this role, averaging 30-50%. This may vary based on client and project requirements. When not traveling, consultants operate from their home office. Relocation is not necessary.
