Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Molecular Research Scientist to join our team at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for conceiving, developing, and implementing innovative molecular, cellular, and tissue-based studies that align with the department's mission goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute research projects that demonstrate a commitment to the highest quality performance and productivity standards.
  • Develop and maintain innovative research programs that align with the department's mission and vision.
  • Conceive research hypotheses and generate written proposals that are fundable through intramural and extramural agencies.
  • Present research findings through publication in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and communicate research goals, efforts, and findings through excellent written and oral delivery.
  • Represent the department in local, regional, state, national, and international matters designated and pertaining to the field of pediatrics.
Requirements
  • Doctorate-level degree in a field appropriate to the faculty role and department mission.
  • At least 2 years of postdoctoral fellow or Instructor experience, or equivalent time as a basic scientist.

The MD Anderson Cancer Center offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable.
