Job Description

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is patient, empathetic, and passionate about representing our brand. They should have excellent communication skills, be able to put themselves in the customers' shoes, and advocate for them when needed. Customer feedback is essential, and the candidate should be able to gather it for our company. Problem-solving is also a key skill, and they should be confident in troubleshooting and investigating customer questions or complaints.

Responsibilities:
  • Process customer purchase orders in person
  • Enter orders received through direct interactions with customers
  • Enter electronic, paper, and manual orders online
  • Verify and confirm customer orders and delivery expectations
  • Quote prices according to our uniform pricing strategy and current market pricing
  • Track order exceptions and maintain as needed
  • Sales with Preferred Customers
  • Direct Customer Service with new and current customers

Teamwork is essential in this role, and the candidate should be able to collaborate with team members. This includes:

  • Coordinating all routine aspects of customer orders, requests, and inquiries

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Customer service, customer solutions, and/or sales experience
  • Leadership role without formal authority
  • Effective decision making
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (internal and external)
  • Delivering timely and accurate information to customers and internal business partners both verbally and in writing
  • Achieving mutual understanding by summarizing and reviewing agreements
  • Actively listening
  • Demonstrating an understanding of our client's products and services
  • Recognizing and responding to new opportunities at existing customers
