About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Medication Technician to join our team at Oakmont Senior Living. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by assisting with the administration of medications and providing direct personal care.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute medications to residents in accordance with established nursing standards and company policies.
  • Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacies, and physicians to ensure accurate and timely medication administration.
  • Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies to maintain accurate resident medication records.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests by following established safety standards.
  • Encourage teamwork and cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments to provide exceptional resident care.

Qualifications:

  • Prefer one year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus, and excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, and residents.
  • Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
