Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician will play a vital role in supporting Pharmacists with preparing and dispensing prescribed medications, providing patient care and education, and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Responsibilities include:

• Removing drugs from stock and verifying their accuracy
• Counting, pouring, or mixing pharmaceuticals as needed
• Affixing labels to containers and packaging/repackaging medications
• Entering prescription information into a computer record system and verifying insurance benefits
• Interacting with patients and team members to develop and maintain positive, professional relationships
• Answering incoming and making outbound calls to patients, case managers, providers, and insurance companies
• Coordinating prescription deliveries and proactively identifying and analyzing problems to provide effective solutions

We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Requirements include:

• A high school diploma or GED
• An active Pharmacy Technician License in the State of California
• National Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or NHA) is preferred
• One or more years of related pharmacy experience is preferred
• Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish is required
• Strong typing and data entry skills
• A reliable mode of transportation to arrive on time at our Brea, CA pharmacy
