Job Overview

Dr. Squatch is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in Brea, CA. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for performing inspections on incoming materials, in-progress processes, and finished goods to ensure they meet required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming raw materials and components to ensure they meet specifications and include necessary documentation.
  • Sample incoming materials for retention and any testing deemed necessary.
  • Inspect and ensure line readiness for setup, following through on start-up and approvals.
  • Document line inspections and provide dispositions on results of inspections.
  • Accurately complete all Quality Assurance forms.
  • Issue NCMRs (Non-Conforming Materials Reports) as required.
  • Inspect packaging and/or finished products quality to meet specifications.
  • Visually inspect components to meet work order specifications.
  • Check weights to meet range specifications.
  • Collect and distribute microbiological samples.
  • Collect line samples for testing and customer submission (line inspectors only).
  • Submit samples from packaging inspections as required for development of masters, resolution of quality holds (incoming packaging inspectors only).
  • Ensure all employees adhere to GMP guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and 1 year QA experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate, write, and read in English.
  • Must be able to use and willing to learn how to use standard measuring equipment.
  • Basic computer literacy skills in Office Standard Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Office Suite.
  • Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce industries.
  • Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred.
  • Someone who gets things done without perfect resources is innovative and works with a sense of urgency.
  • Someone who has high standards, takes ownership, and is invested in the outcome.
  • Someone who proactively helps others, stays positive, and has a good sense of humor.
