Job Summary

Harbor Wholesale Foods is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our Northern California territory. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing new customer relationships, and leading a team of sales representatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve regional and company-wide gross profit objectives.
  • Lead a team of sales representatives, providing training, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure they meet or exceed sales, new customer acquisition, and gross profit goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities for growth and retention.
  • Develop and implement retention strategies for key customers, ensuring they meet or exceed sales and gross profit targets.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to plan regional revenue and margin forecasts, and implement strategies to achieve objectives.
  • Design and manage regional sales department expense budgets, ensuring they meet forecasted targets.
  • Recruit, train, and coach sales representatives and merchandisers as needed.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in sales or sales management, preferably in a high-volume, commission-driven team environment.
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership, with a focus on team building, customer relationships, and business growth.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and mobile technology, with the ability to conduct business while on the road.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent combination of work experience and leadership.
