About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Mettler Toledo. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing world-class support to our customers through start-ups, audits, maintenance, repair, and training of Safeline x-ray, metal detectors, and Hi-Speed Checkweighers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of field service support, including communications with customers and the service department, effective scheduling, and detailed preparation of written reports and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain good customer relationships, becoming the customer's trusted advisor.
  • Identify root cause of service issues and accurately complete and submit all service reports and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Keep up with ongoing technical training and maintain company-supplied equipment, tools, and inventory.
  • Travel 100% of the time, with occasional overnight stays, to provide support to customers across the US and internationally.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate of Science in Electronics or Engineering Technology preferred.
  • Ability to use all types of hand tools and digital test equipment, knowledge of mechanics, electronics, and distribution systems, and working mechanical knowledge of conveyor systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and self-motivated for high performance.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish a plus.
