Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our Lifecycle Services team at FMH Conveyors, a member of the Duravant family of operating companies. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing installation, commissioning, emergency repair, preventive maintenance, audits, retrofits, and training services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field service calls at customer sites to provide installation, commissioning, emergency repair, preventive maintenance, audits, retrofits, and training services
  • Perform mechanical and electrical modifications, including PLC programs and servo drive configuration
  • Conduct site visit meetings with customer contacts to explain job scope and work completed, and provide training to ensure understanding of equipment sequence of operations, proper functionality, and general maintenance
  • Achieve service delivery goals, including response time, first time fix, and customer satisfaction rates
  • Communicate effectively with field service management and internal service support team to efficiently resolve customer issues
  • Provide equipment reliability feedback to quality engineering and collaborate on improvements
  • Comply with industry, company, and customer safe working practices
  • Ensure paperwork, timesheets, CRM entries, expenses, and other paperwork functions are completed promptly and to a high quality
Requirements
  • AAS or BS in Mechatronics, EE, EET, EECS, or Industrial Electronics is desired
  • 3 years' experience with solid knowledge and interaction of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic components, and HMI
  • 3 years' experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, emergency service, and repairing electronics and mechanical machine problems in the field
  • AB CompactLogix PLC and RSLogix500/5000 programming experience, including minor modifications to PLC programs, and accessing networks through PLC to troubleshoot issues, download, and unload programs
  • Interpret complex technical information involving mechanics and electronics, including schematics
  • Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) parameter configuration and Servo drives and motors configurations
  • Valid drivers' license and ability to qualify for a US passport
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but at times loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
