Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to patient assessments and ensure the well-being of patients.
  • Administer medications and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Educate patients and families about disease treatment plans, including self-care post-discharge and available resources.
  • Work in a safe and alert manner, performing point-of-care testing as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent education for licensing.
  • No experience required.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant use of speech and vision for distances near and far.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting/moving of patients and occasional driving.
Professional Licenses and Certifications
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) or Nurse Licensure Issued by Compact State.
