Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our clinical team, you will provide high-quality patient care under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. Your primary responsibilities will include contributing to patient assessments, ensuring patient well-being, administering medications, and educating patients and families about disease treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to patient assessments and ensure patient well-being
  • Administer medications and observe patients for adverse reactions
  • Educate patients and families about disease treatment plans, including self-care post-discharge, holistic health needs, available resources, and follow-up care
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • Perform point-of-care testing according to policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
  • No experience required
Physical Requirements
  • Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication
  • Constant standing and walking
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs
  • Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors
  • Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors
  • Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds, and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
Professional Licenses and Certifications
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
