**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Dispatcher to join our team at PACE Southeast Michigan. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for managing the daily transportation schedule for program participants.

  • Manage driver schedules and assignments through the Ecolane System.
  • Assist the Transportation Manager in planning and coordinating transportation services with other team members.
  • Communicate participant information and concerns regarding special needs or mobility issues.
  • Assist staff in reporting and recording customer feedback using standard forms.
  • Monitor and follow up on unusual occurrences reported by transportation staff.

**Responsibilities:**

  1. Monitor and manage daily vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure all vehicles are safe and in good working order.
  2. Conduct daily morning meetings with drivers to review assignments, confirm routes, and mobilize escorts as needed.
  3. Create accurate bus load-ups based on participant cancellations and appointment schedules.
  4. Distribute medications to drivers and the DNW center in a timely manner.
  5. Manage real-time unforeseen situations and communicate effectively with IDT teams.

**Requirements:**

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid Michigan CDL license Class B with Passenger endorsement is required, along with a clean driving record.
  • CPR certification is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple data sets.
  • Three years of experience in a related field, preferably with supervisory or management experience.
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds or more is necessary.

**Salary Range:** $45,000 - $60,000 per year
