Patient Services Associate

Penn Medicine is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and service. As a Patient Services Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and service.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional patient service and support to patients and families
  • Manage patient arrivals and departures, including checking patients in and out
  • Handle patient calls and inquiries, and respond to patient concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling and rescheduling
  • Update patient insurance and billing information, and perform point of service activities
  • Communicate with patients regarding patient flow and wait times, and keep managers informed of potential issues
  • Issue referrals and obtain pre-authorizations for patients as required
  • Successfully navigate and resolve EPIC work queues, and escalate as needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
  • 2+ years of medical office experience or 2+ years of customer service experience required
  • Advanced degree may be considered in lieu of experience
